Land Rover North America is returning to the Kentucky Derby Three-Day Event for the second consecutive year as the title sponsor! The event is presented by MARS EQUESTRIAN and takes place from April 25th to the 28th at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky. Land Rover returns, alongside the world-class equestrian competition, Land Rover returns with a full program of customer experiences for visitors of all ages!
This year’s lineup is highly anticipated and said to be one of the most competitive yet! The renowned equestrian competition, a test of the horse and rider through one event and three disciplines. The three disciplines include the Jumping Test, Cross-Country, and Dressage. According to Land Rover of South Dade Florida, the winning rider will be awarded the major share of the $400,000 purse and be presented with a 12-month lease of a 2019 Land Rover Discovery!
By popular demand, the Start Off-Road teen-driving experience is returning. First introduced in 2018, this experience aims to introduce teens to the joys of driving while simultaneously reinforcing road safety and awareness. Teen guests that are 14 years or older will be able to participate, driving either a Range Rover Evoque or a Land Rover Discovery Sport on a track that features multi-terrains under the watchful eye of a Land Rover Driving Instructor who is highly-trained. The Sponsorship Village will also host the adult off-road experience. Ticket holders will be able to test drive a Range Rover Velar, Range Rover Sport, Land Rover Discovery or Range Rover on an off-roading track that will test how the vehicles can handle the tricky terrain. Young children are not left out for the off-roading experience! Children aged 4 to 10-years-old can participate in the Junior Drive Experience. This experience offers the children the ability to navigate mini electric cars, scaled down versions of the original Land Rover Series I vehicle, on a specially designed course.
In addition to the may driving experiences offered for guests of all ages, Land Rover will also be bringing the Ultimate Stable Experience back! The original concept allowed guests to gain perspective into what makes Land Rovers unique and distinct from other vehicles on the market! For the 2019 event, Land Rover will be bringing the new 2020 Range Rover Evoque inside the stable alongside a variety of the finest equestrian equipment and apparel. In addition to the 2020 Range Rover Evoque, the Ultimate Stable will be hosting accompanying competitors who will be signing autographs and even a miniature pony that children can pet!
Another fan favorite that is back again, is the Land Rover Tailgate Experience. This experience is best described as the American tradition of tailgating with a British twist. Participants will be competing to create the most inspired vision of what a British tailgate would look like. Winning participants who debut the most stylish and inventive tailgate will be awarded an ultra-exclusive 2019 ticket package and tailgate spot.
